Aqua Hot 450-DE5 Burner Sounds like a bag of Bolts! Webasto Burner Motor, Clutch Halves, and Bearing Replacement
This Webasto burner wasn’t sounding right. The motor RPM was fluctuating, which is often a sign of a failing motor, and the bearings had a noticeable grinding noise instead of the smooth, steady tone you expect from a healthy unit.
It was clear the motor had reached the end of its service life.
Whenever I install a new motor, I also replace the clutch halves. They’re plastic, and over time they tend to take a set from the original motor. That “half-moon” shape can deform slightly, which affects how the new motor engages. In my experience, replacing them at the same time is just good preventative practice and helps ensure a clean, reliable installation.
