Are you the owner of an HHE-500-09M or another Aqua Hot/ Hydro Hot system and you can’t seem to get consistent hot water. Does your water seem to start hot then becomes cold? Could be your stir pump. This video can help you with most Aqua Hot system stir pump replacements. The stir pump circulates the boiler fluid from the bottom of the tank to the top so that the control thermostat has a more accurate temperature sense. Without this the burner wouldn’t kick on as fast as it should leaving you with a cold spike. Check it out.

This is a 2017 Newmar Dutch Star that has lost its hot water. Burner is on and boiler is up to temp. What do you do next? The oasis DM12 relies on circulation pumps to circulate boiler fluid through a heat exchanger which in turn heats the water. You can isolate the issue pretty easy without going into extensive troubleshooting. Turn on your thermostat to see if it changes the water temperature, if it does your summer loop pump may be out. The reason being zone 1 and 2 pumps circulate through the heat exchanger to heat the water in addition to the summer loop pump. When the zones are off is when the summer loop pump kicks in to circulate through boiler fluid through the heat exchanger to make that water hot, so if the pump has failed and is not operating you won’t have hot water. You can watch a video here of how I troubleshoot this situation. This test has to be done with the water on at the tap during testing. This is a common failure and fairly quick fix.

Here is an Aqua Hot AHE-100-04S that has a Water Leak. Customer noticed water dripping out of the air intake area under the Aqua Hot. Right above that burner air intake you will find boiler water lines. These lines had press on pex fittings installed from the factory that tend to fail over time, this was the case with this repair. We replace both water lines with pex pipe and crimp on pex fittings. Great Preventative maintenance on old units. Coach is a 2007 Beaver Marquis.
