Winnebago and Itasca Class A Entry Door Jamb Contact Repair. (Entry Step and Door Lock Switch)

This guide covers a common failure on many Class A Winnebago and Itasca coaches. The entry door jamb contacts control both the electric entry steps and the power door lock. On the back of the contact assembly, the wiring is connected to threaded studs using female bullet/barrel connectors. Over time, these connectors can work loose from repeated door slams and road vibration, causing intermittent or complete failure of the steps and/or door lock.

In this guide, I’ll show you a permanent, reliable solution to this common problem so you don’t have to keep chasing the same issue.
