Splendide TVM63X Dryer Won't Start? Check the High Limits!
The Splendide TVM63X is the most common RV dryer we run into in the field, and one of the most common calls we get on it is a no-start. You've got power to the dryer, you press the start switch, and nothing happens.
When I see that exact symptom, there are two components I think of first.
The two high limit thermostats
Some of these units have two high limit thermostats, and they tend to fail over time. When one of them fails, it creates this exact scenario: power at the dryer, but no response when you press start.
That's why the high limits are near the top of my list on a TVM63X no-start. Before you assume the worst about the dryer, check these two components.
